Production and Quality Control Manager

Role Description:

As the Production and Quality Control Manager at Sri Lankan Spices, you will oversee the entire spice production process, ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, and safety. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining the excellence of our spice collection, ensuring that every product meets our customers’ expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing production schedules and plans to meet customer demand.
  • Overseeing all aspects of spice processing, from cleaning and grinding to packaging.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining a hygienic production environment.
  • Collaborating with the procurement team to manage raw material inventory levels.
  • Conducting regular quality inspections to monitor spice quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Leading a team of production staff, providing training, guidance, and support.
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Analyzing production data and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in food production management, preferably in the spice industry.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify process improvements.
  • Knowledge of production planning and inventory management.
