Role Description:
As a Procurement and Sourcing Specialist at Sri Lankan Spices, you will be a pivotal part of our supply chain team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless sourcing and procurement of high-quality spices from trusted growers and suppliers. Your role will involve identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships to secure the best raw materials for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers and analyzing their products and pricing.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborating with suppliers to maintain consistent and timely delivery of spice ingredients.
- Monitoring market trends and fluctuations in spice prices to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Conducting quality assessments and inspections of spice batches to meet our stringent standards.
- Ensuring compliance with international regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
- Working closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure seamless integration of sourced ingredients.
- Regularly evaluating supplier performance and conducting supplier audits to maintain quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement and sourcing, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and market research.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain strict quality standards.
